Scott is a successful consultant who spends much of his time on calls and presentations with clients and colleagues. Many days there is no face-to-face meeting at all, for all that his favorite theme, one he follows himself in person and otherwise, has long been: "It's about people". When I asked why he decided to participate in this project, he had to pause and think for a moment. "I don't know," he admitted at first, but soon figured it out: "It's about the amazing kids I was with...mostly when I was little, 7 or so," he realized, referring to the time he spent in hospitals with other children while getting surgeries between the ages of 7 and 16.
